Sanger Website

Sanger Sequencing at the MECL was in need of a complex website, resulting in the hiring of a full software development team to bring my ideas to life. The website needed to have the ability to read and write excel files without error, along with logging all data throughout the sequencing process. There are multiple checkpoints for employees to check the samples and confirm there are no mistakes in the lab process.
Usability is very important, as client users and employee users must be able to add and edit large amounts of data that must be exactly correct for a successful sequencing run. Luckily, before joining the design team, I was fully trained in Sanger Sequencing and had a deep understanding of the user experience. This was extremely helpful in designing the user flow. I also had existing relationships with the Sanger Sequencing team, which allowed for open and honest feedback throughout the process.
